In the modern workplace, we believe ‘Smart Wins’. Smart behaviour, smart advice and, of course, smart clothes. Ever since Thomas Mayes Lewin created the first modern shirt with buttons down the front, and opened his Jermyn Street store in 1898, we’ve made it our mission to help men dress and work smart.
But the world of work has changed. The old rules of uniformity, status and behaviour no longer apply, and a new order is emerging. Every day is different and work doesn’t stop when you leave the office – now it’s 24/7/365.
It’s confusing for some but not for us. We still believe in smart: smart appearance, smart thinking and smart behaviour.
Our hi-tech Infinity Active suits come with crease-resistance, anti-tear and water-resistant technology, while our Barberis range is woven with temperature-regulating 100% Merino wool at Italy’s historic Barberis mill. For smart-on-the-go, our innovative non-iron shirts and stretch chinos will keep you looking sharp all day long. And our Italian-made silk ties and accessories add that all-important final bit of smart styling.
We know that one size doesn’t fit all and to look smart you need clothes that fit you impeccably.
That’s why our shirts come in four different fits, seven different collar styles and two cuff options. Our suits also come in three different fits: Regular, Slim and Skinny.
At T.M Lewin, we have over 100 years’ experience at giving out expert advice on how to dress for the modern workplace. Whether you visit one of our UK or International stores, you’ll find we’re passionate, dedicated, knowledgeable and specialist in how to ‘work smart’.
Being smart also means delivering customers ‘smart value’. Our great quality clothes have been expertly made from the finest fabrics and we sell them at unbeatable prices. Something we know that our customers value highly.
You are what you wear. And, at T.M. Lewin, we know what a ‘work smart’ wardrobe needs.
Thomas Mayes Lewin opened the first T.M.Lewin store in Jermyn Street, London in 1898. Mr Lewin was a pioneer in the shirt industry, responsible for creating the first button down ‘coat-shirt’, a prototype of all modern shirts that exist today.
Since 1898, we have also sold over 30 million of our iconic T.M.Lewin ‘original’ easy-to-iron shirts, which makes them Britain’s favourite shirts.
T.M.Lewin has grown and changed over time, but our craftsmanship, quality, service and value has not faltered and remains the core driving force behind our brand.
With 65 stores in the United Kingdom as well a rapidly growing franchise and global online business, we pride ourselves on offering the highest quality smart businesswear to men who want to look and work smart.
